Harpagoside是最初从Harpagophytum procumbens根部分离的抗炎小分子天然产物，但也可以从其他植物，例如Crophularia ningpoensis Hemsl（Figwort）中分离。Harpagoside 对 COX-1 和 COX-2 活性具有抑制作用，并抑制 NO 的产生。
