Olmesartan medoxomil是一种用于治疗高血压的血管紧张素II受体拮抗剂。奥美沙坦通过阻断血管紧张素II与血管肌肉AT1受体的结合来发挥作用。通过阻断结合而不是血管紧张素II的合成，奥美沙坦抑制了对肾素分泌的负面调节反馈。
