Balofloxacin是一种喹诺酮类抗生素。Balofloxacin的杀菌作用源于对细菌DNA合成所需的酶DNA促旋酶的干扰。Balofloxacin对革兰氏阴性菌有效。它还对革兰氏阳性细菌（包括MRSA和肺炎链球菌）具有增强的活性。
